Call for paper

    Libraries have entered a new age of development. International exchange and cooperation have become more and more important. 2002 is the 50th anniversary of the Shanghai Library. To celebrate this event, the Shanghai Library is going to set up a Shanghai International Library Forum, which will take place every other year.

    The first forum is to be held on July 15-18, 2002 and the theme of this forum is "knowledge Navigation and Library Services: International Cooperation".

    The Forum will address the following main issues:
    → Knowledge management
    → Reference services in the network environment
    → Library consortia and resource sharing

Librarians and scholars interested in knowledge management and library services are cordially invited to give presentations on these topics. The topic and abstract of the presentation should be submitted before 15 January 2002. The deadline for submitting the presentation papers is 28 February 2002.

    Registration fee is US$300
